Our goal is to create and maintain a safe, secure and caring multicultural God centered environment where children can grow to their full academic potential. We strive to develop character, healthy habits, and a lasting relationship with God.
Lords Kingdom Academy is a private preschool, offering kindergarten in Orlando, Florida, through third-grade. We base our philosophy of children on cooperation between parents, teachers, and administration. Our private Christian school fosters cooperation among teachers, parents, and the administration to create an enriching environment that encourages excellence and well-being for each child.
Here in our learning facility, we meet the children at their level and help them explore a whole new dimension in learning in a safe, healthy, loving and fun-filled environment. At our Private Elementary School in Orlando, Florida, we know how important it is and how challenging it can be to raise and instill Christ-like values, which is why we are dedicating our expertise and years of experience in helping parents like you in achieving this goal.
Bio of the Owner: Meralis Acevedo
I was born in Puerto Rico, and my parents moved to the United States when I was five years old. I have lived in Florida ever since. I am blessed with two wonderful children, my daughter Yodalis and my son Felix. My daughter has also given me the joy of becoming a grandmother to two amazing grandchildren, Javian and Janeli. I thank God every day for my family and feel truly blessed by each of them.
I have always had a passion for children and education, and working in early childhood education has confirmed that I am in the perfect career. With more than 21 years of experience in the childcare field, I have had the privilege of working with children of all ages. I served as a preschool director for more than ten years before becoming an owner. Working with children is truly my passion, and no matter how challenging a day may be, I never wake up questioning my desire to return to work the next morning.
I earned my Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University in May 2013. Completing my degree was one of the most challenging and rewarding accomplishments of my life. The knowledge and experience I gained there have been invaluable throughout my career.
In January 2012, I joined Lords Kingdom Academy as the director, working alongside the school’s founder, Mrs. Marsha Combs. From my very first day, I experienced a family-centered environment unlike any other preschool where I had previously worked. I immediately knew I had found a place where I could grow, serve, and make a lasting impact. Shortly after my two-year anniversary, Mrs. Marsha decided to retire and offered me the opportunity to take over the preschool and lead the program. It was truly a dream come true.
In June 2013, I became the owner of Lords Kingdom Academy. I have a strong vision for the school and continually pray that God guides and inspires me as I serve our students, families, and staff with passion and purpose. Since then, our school has been blessed with tremendous growth, both in quality and in the variety of programs we offer. We proudly provide Soccer Shots, Fun Bus, bilingual classrooms, music enrichment, and a caring team of dedicated educators who love and nurture every child.
We have also been blessed with the opportunity to expand our educational offerings to include Kindergarten through Third Grade. I look forward to continuing to grow Lords Kingdom Academy while providing every child with a loving, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where they can learn at their own pace and be celebrated for their unique gifts, talents, and individuality.
